What could be more charming than having a playful cat by your side? With Whirlycat, you can experience the delightful whimsy of feline camaraderie right in your pocket.

In this engaging game, players will take on the role of Whirly, a cunning cat who has commandeered the highly classified GW-70 Helicopter prototype, retreating to a hidden location in the woods. Whirly has devised an ambitious plan to collect bones from the Mountain Rescue Dog team, and he needs your piloting expertise to execute his strategy of "Whirly Domination."

Your adventure begins as you help Whirly take off from his tower base and soar up the mountain. Using a lasso crafted from frayed sweater yarn, you'll aim to snag bones while also gathering additional sweaters and fuel from deserted campsites along your flight path. However, caution is essential; the Mountain Rescue Dog team has been alerted to Whirly’s escapades, and they are actively on the lookout for him. Adding to the challenge, the mountain catnip is currently in full bloom, which may complicate Whirly's efforts.

To embark on this adventure, simply press the '>' (play) button located in the upper right corner of the screen. For optimal control, hold your device like a steering wheel and tilt it in the desired direction. Tilting forward causes ascent while tilting backward initiates descent; preferences can be customized in the settings. Access these settings by pressing the ‘gear’ icon while the game is paused.

Keep an eye on Whirly's fuel gauge at the top center of the screen, as your game continues until he exhausts his fuel supply. Gathering additional fuel becomes vital to reach subsequent campsites successfully.

Whirly's ability to collect bones, fuel, and sweaters depends on possessing enough sweaters to create yarn for his lasso. Be mindful: dragging the lasso on the ground can lead to breakage, as can colliding with rocks. In such instances, guide Whirly away from obstacles to detach the lasso before he can make a new one.

The current number of sweaters is displayed in the top left corner of the screen. If Whirly finds himself without sweaters, assist him in buzzing them into the air at a campsite; he must then attempt to catch them before they hit the ground—lost opportunities that mean fewer resources for his mission. The Mountain Rescue Dogs are always vigilant, capable of defending their bones by biting through Whirly's lasso; their agility means they can leap considerable distances.

An additional feature includes the innovative "Tilt-o-Meter," which enhances flight control from various orientations. Activate this meter by clicking on the “Stop Light” button near the top-right corner of the display. Find a comfortable resting position for your device until the stop light turns green and aligns with the meter's center. This position can also be adjusted using up/down arrows before commencing gameplay with either the check button on the meter or going back to '>' (start).

Please note that once you begin playing, the "Tilt-o-Meter" will automatically disappear.

Player scores can be recorded in settings by entering a name into the text field; tapping on Whirly’s face reveals other players’ rankings, while touching the bone next to this field showcases high scores.

The game offers a restart option accessible via settings, which requires confirmation after pressing the restart button in the upper right corner.
